Karak Dominates in Cincinnati Trophy

Twice a winner at two in 2019, including a victory in the black-type Tyro Stakes, Breeze Easy’s smart filly Karak kicked off 2020 with an impressive win in the Cincinnati Trophy Stakes at Turfway Park.

On the lead throughout, the bay was 3 1/2 lengths clear turning for home, and continued to increase her advantage through the stretch, hitting the wire 8 1/2 lengths to the good.

Karak is from the first crop of Karakontie, winner of the Prix Jean Luc Lagardere-Grand Criterium (G1), French 2,000 Guineas (G1) and Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1), and is half-sister to stakes winning and multiple stakes placed Aqua Frio. She now has a record of three wins and two thirds in seven starts, earning $168,575.
