Breeze Easy add graded stakes winners Pacific Wind, Selcourt and Sue’s Fortune to broodmare band

Breeze Easy added a trio of graded stakes winners – Pacific Breeze, Selcourt and Sue’s Fortune – at the Fasig-Tipton and Keeneland November breeding stock sales. A daughter of Curlin, Pacific Wind earned graded stakes honors in the Ruffian Stakes (G2) , and also gained five other graded stakes placings, including a third in the Spinster Stakes (G1). She is three-quarters sister to the multiple graded stakes winning millionaire Strike a Deal. Her dam, Shag, a daughter of Dixieland Band, was a four-time stakes winner, and is out of stakes winner Ismelda.

Selcourt was one of the premier sprinters of her time. Winner of the Santa Monica Stakes (G2) by 4 1/2 lengths over Paradise Woods, Marley’s Freedom and Skye Diamonds, earning a 104 Beyer. She also captured the Las Flores Stakes (G3) and Kalookan Queen Stakes. By Tiznow’s very successful stallion son, Tiz Wonderful, Selcourt out of a sister to Open Concert, a stakes winner of $656,000.

Fast and precocious, Sue’s Fortune captured the Adirondack Stakes (G2) at Saratoga on only her second outing . She is by A.P. Indy’s talented son, Jump Start, the sire of 65 stakes winners, 24 graded, and seven grade one, including US millionaires Rail Trip, Pants on Fire and Prayer For Relief. Her dam, a five-time winning Storm Cat granddaughter, is a sister to multiple stakes winner Talking Treasure.
